Screen Tasmania will support up to five places for emerging to experienced practitioners to attend the Australian International Documentary Conference (AIDC) in Melbourne, from 4 to 7 March, 2018.

AIDC is the premier Australian conference and market for documentary and factual content makers. AIDC attracts a mix of broadcasters, storytellers and entrepreneurs from Australia, the Asia-Pacific and beyond.

As this is an "advertised Australian conference", a set amount of $1 200 is offered to assist with registration, travel and accommodation.

Successful applicants will be sent a code to register at the 'Early-bird rate' of $729.

Each successful applicant will contract with Screen Tasmania and be paid $1 200. Travel arrangements, conference registration and accommodation is the responsibility of applicants.

There will be two different applications available for AIDC 2018 on the Screen Tasmania Applications portal. In addition to the Early-Bird Places, Screen Tasmania has been offered one free pass to AIDC for a late-stage entry-level practitioner. Applications will open for the free pass shortly.

Please note full-time students are not eligible for either offer.

Apply via the Screen Tasmania Applications portal.
