Grants and funding
Screen Tasmania provides equity investment for production and recoupable grants for the development of Tasmanian screen projects including documentaries, feature films, TV drama, series, animation and games. Screen Tasmania also provides grants for professional and industry development.

Tasmania, Australia’s island state, offers an amazing range of locations in a compact environment. Screen Tasmania can also help with crew, accommodation, equipment, catering and most importantly, local knowledge.

Screen Tasmania has assembled resources for the Tasmanian screen industry, including Mental Health and COVID-19 resources as well as information about Respecting Cultures: Working with Tasmanian Aboriginal Community and Aboriginal Artists, as well as marketing and promotion information including the Screen Tasmania logo.
Level up Tasmania
The Level Up Tasmania Video Game Showcase is a free weekend of events celebrating Tasmanian-made video games and game developers. The showcase will be held at PW1 (Princes Wharf No. 1) in Hobart across two days: Friday, 27 September 2024, 12:00 – 5:00 pm Saturday, 28 September 2024, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm.

Level Up Tasmania Exhibitor Applications Now Open

Screen Tasmania is hosting the inaugural Level Up Tasmania, a showcase of Tasmanian video games and game makers.
Level Up Tasmania is a 2-day expo aimed at promoting games that have been developed in the state or have had some level of significant Tasmanian contribution. It also aims to increase awareness of projects that are still in development, and showcase the level of work that is being achieved in Tasmania.

The incentive encourages expenditure in the Tasmanian economy and drives employment and skills development in the Tasmanian industry, whilst highlighting our Tasmanian landscapes, built heritage and lifestyle.
