Conference Support – Melbourne International Games Week (MIGW)
Screen Tasmania is offering support to a limited number of Tasmanian practitioners who are interested in attending all or part of Melbourne International Games Week, 4 - 12 October, 2025.
This funding round aims to provide access to professional development for emerging Tasmanian practitioners in the games industry, to engage in both learning and professional network development.
This funding round is open to games practitioners in any capacity at any level, including but not limited to:
- Developers
- Artists
- Composers/Musicians
- Producers
Eligible events include:
Screen Tasmania is offering:
- A set amount of $1,200 ex-GST for individuals only.
Eligibility
Screen Tasmania is waiving some of the standard eligibility criteria to better enable access to professional development for those who may not have been eligible for support previously:
- Must have been a Tasmanian resident for the past 6 months
- Must have an ABN
- Must be over 18 years of age
- Applicants currently enrolled in full-time study are eligible to apply
- Applicants are not required to have a project to pitch
Assessment Criteria
Applicants must respond to the following criteria in their application:
- Relevance of event to your career objectives
- Learning objectives, professional networking objectives
- How your objectives align with proposed itinerary
- Evidence of active involvement in the event/s you plan to attend, including confirmed meetings and/or tickets to applicable events
- How realistic is your proposed budget
Priority will be given to applicants who have not attended MIGW in previous years.
