Screen Tasmania Support for Screen Forever 2025

Screen Tasmania is offering support for up to ten practitioners wishing to attend Screen Forever 2025.
Screen Forever will host its Online Global Market from Tuesday, 29 to Wednesday, 30 April 2025, with the in-person program taking place from Tuesday, 6 to Thursday, 8 May 2025 at The Star Event Centre in the Gold Coast.
Successful applicants will be required to purchase their pass and arrange travel and accommodation to Screen Forever with the funds received by Screen Tasmania. (Note: Screen Tasmania will NOT buy your Pass for you).
This will be a flat rate given to all successful practitioners.
1) Mid-career and experienced practitioners
For mid-career and experienced practitioners, Screen Tasmania is offering the following financial support:
- Registration, valued at $1,060.00 (SPA members' price)
- $594.00 contribution towards travel and accommodation support
- Total of $1,654 flat rate for each successful eligible practitioner.
Applicants must present a slate of projects to pitch.
2) Emerging practitioners / practitioners from under-represented communities
For eligible practitioners, Screen Tasmania is offering the following financial support:
- Registration, valued at $1,060.00 (SPA members' price)
- $814.00 contribution towards travel and accommodation support
- Total of $1,874.00 flat rate for each successful eligible practitioner.
Several passes have been reserved for applicants identifying as belonging to the following groups:
- First Nations people or Tasmanian Aboriginal people
- Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD)
- People with disability
- Women
- LGBTQIA+ people
- Non-binary (those who identify their gender as non-binary)
- Emerging/Early-Career (0–5 years' experience in screen or interactive media production).
Applicants must have at least one project to pitch and ideally have not attended Screen Forever previously.
Taking Your Project to Market – Workshop
Screen Tasmania will be facilitating an online workshop with Michelle Hardy (Industry Programs Consultant, SPA) to prepare applicants and prospective attendees in navigating the conference. Date to be confirmed.
