PAX Rising – Expressions of Interest for Attendance Support

Applications close: Sunday May 7, 2023 at midnight AEST.

Screen Tasmania is offering support to a limited number of Tasmanian game developers wishing to attend and exhibit at PAX Rising – the indie-focussed part of ‘the biggest gaming festival in Australia’ – taking place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre over 6-8 October.

Screen Tasmania has reserved a number of Indie Pods in a high traffic area, which will form a little corner of Tasmania in PAX Rising.

Screen Tasmania will offer up to $2,000 support for a game developer, which would nominally incorporate the following:

  • $500 towards travel and accommodation support for PAX for each person, with a limit of two people per application
  • $1000 towards an ‘Indie Pod’ (actual cost of $2,150.50 inc GST).

Please note that to qualify for indie pods at PAX Rising you must fulfil the following requirements:

  • Established and registered company
  • No more than 5 full time / contracted employees at one time
  • Your game must meet PAX criteria

Successful applicants are welcome to purchase additional Exhibitor Badges from PAX, but no additional funding will be provided.
