Industry development grants

This program is aimed at developing the professional skills and networks of Tasmanian screen practitioners.

Under the Guidelines (PDF 4.7 MB), it supports experienced practitioners to attend intrastate, interstate and international markets and events, and provides funding for inbound training events and business travel that has significant professional development opportunities.

Screen Tasmania will not fund private events, or non-screen related events.

Eligibility

You must meet the eligibility criteria detailed in the General Guidelines (PDF 344.5 KB). You can only apply for travel grants if you are a Tasmanian resident.

Screen Tasmania also organises and hosts events using this program to address skills gaps and other needs identified. Such events may also include matched-funding professional development initiatives with training or broadcast partners.

Stream A - Market Travel

Funding contributions are available to eligible companies and incorporated organisations

Stream B - Conference Support

Funding is eligible for applicants to attend established Australian screen industry conferences, events, and workshops.

Stream C - Short Courses

Funding support is available to eligible applicants for short course fees where theoretical and practical education can assist in a practitioner’s screen or gaming career journey workshops.

Stream D - Professional Events

Funding is available to eligible applicants for either hosting a professional event or attending a professional event workshop.
