What is it?

Presented by Screenworks, the Regional Crew Pathways Program is a two-step training program open to applicants from across Tasmania. Backed by Netflix investment and supported by Screen Tasmania and AFTRS, this program from Screenworks provides training, employment and career pathways in below the line roles in the screen industry for people living in Tasmania.

In the first step, selected participants will undertake the AFTRS’ On-Set Onboarding course, held in Hobart, 26–28 February 2025.

Note that participation in the 3-day On-Set Onboarding course is an extremely valuable opportunity for people wanting to be prepared for any on-set experience, and doesn't commit participants to being available for the six-month placement.

In the second step, course participants can then nominate to be considered for the six-month paid placement. The placements will predominantly be with production companies in Tasmania, but there may be some interstate opportunities as well.

How to apply?

To apply for the Regional Crew Pathways Program, including the first step (AFTRS’ On-Set Onboarding course in Hobart, 26–28 February 2025), and to be considered for the second step (six-month placement), please go to the Screenworks website and complete the application form.

Applications close 9:00 am AEDT, 10 February 2025.
